Perfect Storm: Simultaneous Leadership Absence
What happened: Chandler out 9 days (custody, sick children, then illness) simultaneous with Jen on vacation. Company operations collapsed for nearly two weeks. Root cause: Chandler's bandwidth stretched by Evan's onboarding, daily tasks slipped.
Why it happened: Single point of failure — too much operational knowledge lived with one person. No documented backup protocols. No SWITCH system in place.
What changed: Role assignments documented. SWITCH protocol developed. Global initiated. Backup layer for Chandler's core responsibilities identified as critical priority before 2029.
